Ontem fiz mais outra reciclagem - um alfineteiro!
Começo por explicar o porquê deste projecto:

Yesterday I made another recycling - a pincushion!
I'll start by explaining why I did this project:

Este era o meu antigo alfineteiro, comprado, cuja caixinha tinha resmas de alfinetes arrumadinhos e era só tirar e espetar na esponja em cima quando os usava. Acontece que um belo dia, a Filipa deixa cair a caixinha e no minuto a seguir era alfinetes até onde os olhos podiam ver...
Vai daí que a solução que arranjei foi esta:

This was my old pincushion, purchased, whose box had lots of pins very well organized and I would just take as many as I needed and stick them in the sponge as I was using. It turns out that one day, Filipa drops the box and the next minute there were pins as far as the eye could see...So this was the solution I got:

Esta embalagem era de um creme, e revelou-se uma óptima solução pois a tampa é de enroscar, já não há o problema de cair ao chão e abrir-se espalhando os alfinetes todos! Para além de ser maior e poder levar mais.
No entanto, apesar de gostar da caixa que arranjei, fazia-me falta a parte da esponja para espetar os alfinetes que estão em uso, para ser mais prático, além de que, quando estava fechada, não se percebia que tinha lá dentro os alfinetes (e eu não sou a única que costura cá em casa) e estava com ar feio, com o autocolante meio a ver-se ainda na tampa...

This box was from a cream, and proved to be an optimal solution because the lid is screwed, so there isn't the problem of falling to the ground and open spreading all the pins! Besides being bigger, taking more pin.However, although I like the box I got, it made me miss that part of the foam to stick the pins that were in use, to be more handy, and that, when it was closed, one couldn't tell what was inside (and I'm not the only one that sews around here) and was ugly, with bits of the sticker still on the lid...

Acabou por ser um projecto muito simples, que me deu muito prazer fazer.
Já tinha algumas abobrinhas destas cá por casa, que recebi numa troca com a Zarita Martins, e depois foi só arranjar um bocado de feltro e fita grega, colar tudo com cola quente e já está!
É uma reciclagem muito rápida e que dá uma prenda muito gira para pessoas que gostem de costura, na minha opinião.

Turned out to be a very simple project, which gave me great pleasure to do.I already had some of these pumpkins around here, that I received in a trade with Zarita Martins, and then I just picked a bit of felt and ric-rac tape, glued everything with hot glue and voila!
This is a very fast recycling and makes a very cool gift for people who like sewing, in my opinion.
